Le Groupe Jenaco is at the heart of the action at the Technoparc Montréal. The building mechanics firm that specializes in piping has obtained the contract for plumbing, cooling, and natural gas for the new data centre project for Vantage Data Centers Canada.
The construction of this 70,000 square foot building in the Technoparc has been entrusted to Groupe Montoni. Completion of this new centre will make it possible to offer 10 megawatts (MW) to customers of this North American leader that is currently setting up shop in Quebec. In fact, the American company will also be expanding its data centre in Québec, acquired last January.
“This is an outstanding mark of confidence from Groupe Montoni, with whom we have already completed another data centre project,” said Jean Turgeon, founder and president of Le Groupe Jenaco. “Data centre projects are very technical and demanding for our specialty which is piping.”
The eight team members involved are understandably excited and motivated by the nature of this project. The contract should take until February 2020 to complete. The completion of this second contract in the specialized data centre niche opens up new perspectives for Le Groupe Jenaco, working in building mechanics.
