Le Groupe Jenaco has just been awarded the plumbing and gas contract for a brand new project to build a 10-storey residential tower in the Montréal-North neighbourhood. This Hapopex project is part of a regional approach to respond to the rental housing crisis in neighborhoods impacted by poverty.
“We are very pleased to be able to participate in the realization of this project that responds to the need for affordable housing in Montréal. I am convinced that our know-how and our collaborative approach to work will be greatly appreciated by the promoter and the general contractor,” said founder and president of Le Groupe Jenaco, Jean Turgeon.
Under the aegis of Hapopex (Les Habitations populaires de Parc Extension), this project, scheduled for spring 2021, includes 95 housing units of 3 ½, 4 ½ and 5 ½ rooms. Construction of this new building will be supervised by the Consortium M.R. Canada Ltd. This is the first collaboration between this general contractor and Le Groupe Jenaco.
A team of eight people from the building mechanics company that specializes in piping will be working on the site until 2021.
