Le Groupe Jenaco has been selected to execute a plumbing and natural gas contract for a 14-storey residential building with 210 rental units. This Eolia building (RL-3) is part of the largest and most prestigious Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) real estate project in Quebec.
The Solar Uniquartier project is a megacomplex comprising housing units (condominiums, apartments, and townhouses), a hotel, a convention centre, green spaces, and direct access to the light rail transit (LRT) system station in the northeast sector of Highways 10 and 30 in Brossard. Commercial and office space is also being planned.
“We are particularly proud to be a part of this large-scale project that will make use of our expertise in LEED housing projects,” said founder and president Jean Turgeon.
This is Le Groupe Jenaco’s first project with the consortium Edyfic Construction – Bastium Construction, that is responsible for managing the work. “This is an excellent opportunity for us to demonstrate our expertise in building mechanics to this new partner.”
The company specializing in piping has deployed a team of 15 employees for this contract, which began last December and is expected to end in the spring of 2022. The RL-3 residential tower includes studio, one to three bedroom, and penthouse units. It is located at the corner of L’Équinoxe and L’Équateur streets in this 6,000,000 sq. ft. megaproject.
