Le Groupe Jenaco has broken into the municipal institutional environment with this plumbing, heating, and gas contract for the project to modernize and expand L’Octogone library.
Located in LaSalle, this library, with its unique architectural signature, is benefiting from an investment of nearly $45 million from the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications, the City of Montréal, and the Borough of LaSalle. The work on the renovation and expansion officially started in early May, and is being supervised by the firm Decarel, known for its construction and project management.
“We are happy to be working once again with the general contractor Decarel. We will be able to use our collaborative approach, which is more relevant than ever in this type of project that combines modernization and expansion,” said Jean Turgeon, founder and president of Le Groupe Jenaco. “This is the type of job that brings its own set of exciting challenges for our team members.”
A team of four employees from the building mechanics company, that specializes in piping, will soon be on the job. Work on this large-scale project will run until early 2023.
