Le Groupe Jenaco’s building mechanics expertise will be required in the construction of a senior and alternative housing project in Blainville. The company will be responsible for the plumbing, heating, and gas work for this 72-place building.
The construction project will begin soon and will be supervised by the firm Medifice, well known in the institutional health sector. “It is always very stimulating to contribute to innovative projects in a sector as important as health,” said Jean Turgeon, founder and president of the company that specializes in piping. “It will also be another opportunity to strengthen our collaboration with Medifice and to share our expertise.”
The senior and alternative housing project in Blainville will be built on vacant land on Boulevard Curé-Labelle, at the corner of 37e Avenue East. This MDA-MA will have 36 places reserved for seniors and another 36 places for adults with a physical or intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder.
This new approach developed for senior and alternative housing is designed to offer a living environment on a human scale in order to promote and encourage a more active lifestyle. Implementing infection prevention and control measures in the event of an outbreak will also be easier in this type of environment.
Construction of this MDA-MA project in Blainville should start soon. A team of 18 pipefitters will be hard at work on this plumbing, heating, and gas mandate, which is scheduled to end in the fall of 2022.
