Since the start of 2013, a team from LE GROUPE JENACO has been deployed on the project Le Nordelec. Chosen for its services in plumbing, natural gas, and mixed water, the Saint-Hubert firm will initially work on the completion of Phase I which involves the conversion of levels 6, 7, and 8 of the East wing to create 100 new condominium units.
Le Nordelec involves the transformation of one of the largest industrial brick buildings in North America. Located on the edge of the Lachine Canal, this huge building houses office spaces on the first five floors. The designers of the project Le Nordelec were inspired by the approach used by designers for the Chelsea Market in New York, which includes a residential component.
In addition to transforming the top floors of the existing building, the Le Nordelec real estate project, led by Magil Construction, plans to build a brand new 13-storey building adjacent to the central wing with two parking levels. The 135 condominium units and the development of a commercial level should complete the first phase of this new building. Completing these two mandates obtained by LE GROUPE JENACO should take between 24 and 30 months.
“We are pleased to be able to work with Magil Construction on this important project. This type of commission is very motivating for all our employees. It requires strict management and excellent planning,” said Jean Turgeon, president of LE GROUPE JENACO. Involved in many of the largest construction projects in the metropolitan area, the South Shore company is building, job by job, a solid reputation based on its expertise, meticulousness, and the quality of its services.
